In this animated comedy adventure for the whole family, Scamper is a penguin living in the unspoiled territories of Antarctica with his fellow penguin pal, Snowflake. Scamper and his chums have never met a human being before when they encounter a friendly scientist doing research on Antarctic life, and they soon welcome his dog, Cowboy, into their circle of friends. But the penguins sadly learn that not all people are as kind as the researcher after they're captured by a gang of trappers. Note: A Japanese-Soviet co-production originally premiered in the Soviet Union. While the Japanese and UK versions only had the dub language changed, the US version was heavily localised and cuts out most of the violent scenes from the original.
