The Third Season of Shugo Chara! Each 24-25 minute episode consists of a series of variety show style shorts (including Shugo Chara! Pucchi Puchi / しゅごキャラ! ぷっちぷち) totaling approx. 9-10 minutes, followed by the main 11-12 minute animation titled Shugo Chara!!! Dokki Doki / しゅごキャラ!!! どっきどき which is the actual continuation of season 2 and comes with its own opening animation. The remaining time is occupied by live action padding between each section and capped off with the opening/ending themes at the beginning and end of the episode. Several groups have released subsections separately under their respective titles (e.g. Chihiro's 13 minute releases, which include only the main animation and the episode ending theme, released as Shugo Chara Dokki Doki).

Episode 1: The Super-Peppy Transfer Student! Episode 6: Placing the Eggs Back! Runtime: 25 minutes Air Date: 2009-11-07 Rikka forgets about her job and spaces out in the Royal Garden, so to get her mind back in the game she's asked to get Yaya and Hikaru from the flower garden. Amu is a little worried so she has her Guardian Characters go with her, but just as expected Rikka gets distracted on the way. She runs into an X Egg, and chases after it by herself. Episode 23: Oh, no! Rikka and the X Eggs... Back at her home, the X Eggs notice that she forgot to bring paints with her, and try to help out Rikka because they feel neglected with Hotaru taking up Rikka's attention lately, but they only screw up and make things worse.
