* Remake of the Kyoto story arc from the original manga and the previous anime adaptation. Told from the perspective of Makimachi Misao, this alternate retelling of the Kyoto arc chronicles the adventures of wandering swordsman Himura Kenshin and his quest in putting a stop to the evil Shishio Makoto and his plot to take over Japan. Note: The first part played in Japanese theatres in December, 2011. It ran for one week only at Tokyo's Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro theatre and Osaka's Cine-Libre Umeda theatre.
