The Queen's Blade: Rebellion game books serve as a sequel to the original Queen's Blade game books, which are Japanese spinoffs from Flying Buffalo's Lost Worlds game series. In combat picture book games, players simulate turn-based fighting with books that each represent a character. The story is set four years after the first storyline and revolves around Annelotte, the rebelling knight princess who stands up to the tyranny of the new queen. The Rebellion storyline already inspired two prologue original video anime DVDs that are being bundled with the Queen's Blade Premium Visual Books.

Episode 1: Warrior of the Resistance

After Alchemy Strategist Huit saves her friend Mirim from harassment by the queen's soldiers with the help of her elven automaton Vante, Ymir shows up at her village the next day trying to procure Vante for the queen's military. Huit finds an opportunity to escape but is later ambushed by Elina. Just when she almost falls off a cliff, Annelotte appears to rescue her and defeat Elina. However, when she returns home she finds that Mirim has been coerced into joining the queen's army with false promises of money to treat her mother's illness by Ymir.

Episode 2: The Sacred War

Seeking guidance from the church, Annelotte unwittingly angers the overzealous Inquisitor Siggy and is challenged to a duel. Annelotte must fight for her life as being declared a heretic by Siggy automatically comes with a sentence to be burned alive by holy fire. Fortunately, just when all hope is lost an octopus comes to the rescue. Elsewhere, Iron Strategist Ymir sets her evil plan into motion.

Annelotte accidentally saves Tanyan & Sainyan from a tavern brawl. To repay the debt, they show her an old unused entrance to the queen's castle. Annelotte sneaks into Gainos Castle with Huit and Vante to rescue Mirim, but she must get past Dragon Warrior Branwen first.

Episode 6: A Crown of Flowers and the Hidden Power

Huit confronts Mirim, and try to convince her to leave Ymir and queen's army. Mirim declines, as she finally feels that someone needs her. Annelotte and Huit decide to force Mirim out of queen supporters by destroying her Vibration Armor. Annelotte finally confronts Mirim and her nearly invincible Hyper Vibration Armor. Ymir shows her true colors, leaving Mirim, and trying to steal Vante. In the middle of the fierce showdown, Captain Liliana's flying pirate ship suddenly appears in the sky above, and captures Vante along with her remote control device.
