In the first OVA Pinoko suffers from an inexplicable pain attack, but tests are inconclusive. Black Jack is stimied until he learns the mother of the child is Yuri Saionji. He operated her long ago and had a brief relation with her. After meeting Yuri BJ decides to try to help her and in that way also help Pinoko. Long repressed emotions surface again... In the second OVA Black Jack gets kidnapped whilst returning home by plane. The dictator of an extremely totalaritan regime suffers from a seemingly inoperable brain tumor and wants BJ to operate him, which has to be done without anaesthesia. This against a background of a country in uproar where the resistance decides now is the time for an uprising. Love and betrayal play a big part, that's for sure.
