Araragi Koyomi, a senior year high school student, has never been particularly popular among girls, although he was certainly quite well-known for his borderline delinquent actions during middle school. However, at one point he was bitten by a powerful vampire and himself made into one; although he was treated and became human again, his vampirism never fully disappeared. Since then, he has become surrounded by strange girls; those who, not unlike himself, came into contact with these supernatural beings collectively known as oddities. As the time goes by, Koyomi's relation with each of the girls around him develops, but deeper trouble continues to arise. Oshino Meme, the exorcist who helped him become human once again, is now gone, and will no longer act as support when Koyomi needs help; he must deal with the problems on his own now. However, right when even Koyomi has to leave to deal with some sort of trouble, his friend Hanekawa Tsubasa encounters a new oddity and her house is destroyed by a fire. The new oddity, a tiger, is now targeting Tsubasa and, between her stress and the threat posed by the tiger, Black Hanekawa emerges once again so that the underlying oddity, the Curse Cat, can protect her master. Since Tsubasa refuses to let herself be helped unless utterly unavoidable and will never seek the help of others, Senjougahara Hitagi, her friend and Koyomi's girlfriend, has to choose to take the situation into her hands for the sake of their friend, so that her situation doesn't deteriorate even further. — written by Hinoe * Based on a series of light novels written by Nishio Ishin and illustrated by Vofan.
