The 16-year-old girl Mizutani Shizuku attends Shouyou High School, totally focused on school and the plans to get a high-paying job in the future. A boy named Yoshida Haru would be seated next to her in class, but he has been constantly absent for one reason or another since the first day of school. By chance, she is sent to deliver class printouts to him, and that leads Haru to believe they are friends. Now her homeroom teacher wants her to convince Haru to come back to school. Shizuku could not be less interested in getting involved though... but fate seems to have other plans.
