After Hanami Yuzuka encounters a strange being named Miton, she gains the powers of a magical girl: transformation and the manipulation of water. Milton can only be seen by girls with magical potential, like Chiya, Yuzuka's cynical and possessive best friend; the kind next-door neighbour Daiya; or Mafuyu another magical girl with familiar Pochi helping out at her grandfather's coffee shop. Yuzuka still tries to get used to her life as a magical girl... and finds it difficult to see the positive sides of her new abilities. But at least, unusually for magical girls, both Yuzuka and Chiya are good students, and Yuzuka is also a good cook.
